“TO march is to love” solo art show by janel leppin
Opening Night 12/7/2023 - 2/17/2024
show presented by McLean project for the arts (MPA)
To March is to Love
Leppin’s whimsical and moving fiber art represents the dichotomy of a wondrous and fragile world, weaving textiles and used clothing to create unexpected textures and patterns. Her work mirrors the struggle between action and complacency, inviting us to engage with and contemplate our humanity.

Exhibitions
My work will hang up from Nov 23 - sometime in early 2020 at Comet Ping Pong music venue/pizza joint.
My first exhibit was on December 1st, 2017 at the 9:30 Club. I performed my music with my piece 9:30 onstage. While my band accompanied me (Anthony Pirog, Joe Lally, Aria Aquino) I cut the vintage Japanese robe I was wearing and wove it into the piece. We raised money for local non-profit Casa Ruby and raffled the piece off to a winner in the audience. Poster art by Jess Scott.
